Play the keyboard? No not a Yamaha, we mean your computer keyboard. Thanks to Google Creative Lab's Jono Brandel, you sort of can. Patatap is a visual music project inspired by synesthesia -- a neurological phenomenon that involves the stimulation of multiple senses, like "hearing color." It's a cool concept, and the interactive site is loads of fun.
With Patatap, you're not just smashing keys to make random noise. Every sound you produce is visually represented by different colors and shapes, sort of like you're designing a visualizer along with the melodies.
Check out the Patatap browser site, or try it out on your smartphone or tablet.
