Artist Eric Daigh goes beyond the "classic" or "conventional" meaning of a portrait by using push pins as his medium. He uses a software conversion process that is way more complex than simply pushing pins into a board. In the video below he uses 22,765 pushpins to create a portrait of Ben Silbermann, the founder of Pinterest. He created this for a feature in Fast Company's 2012 Design Issue.
