I spent this last weekend in Charlottesville at my best friend’s wedding. It was at a place called Keswick, which is basically the schnazziest place I’ve ever spent the night before. But I’m not here to bore you with the details, I just need to show you one of the best wedding gifts ever. The couple getting married were Neal and Kristin. They have 2 really awesome cats, and Neal is an illustrator. Our friend Barry is also an illustrator, as well as one of Neal’s best friends.
Below is Barry’s gift, Jan Van Eyck’s “The Arnolfini Portrait,” but with Neal and Kristin’s cats instead of the people. Maybe you need to know Neal, Kristin and their cats to fully appreciate this, but I think this has got to be one of the best wedding presents ever.
